Astra Dairy curd is a traditional product made from fermented cow’s milk from cows grazed in grass fodders cultivated naturally, which is sweet and acrid, appetizing and strengthening. It is a good condiment, imparting relish to the meal. This is often considered the very best type of fermented dairy product which is popular throughout India.
Curd is made by bacterial fermentation of milk. In this process lactose in milk is converted into lactic acid by several pro biotic microorganisms. The species involved in the fermentation depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment which plays a major role in setting of the curd.

Astra Dairy has chosen to use earthen pots and banana leaf for its packaging of traditional Indian Cow's curd, both to protect and preserve the freshness and premium great taste of our cow’s curd, along with being environmentally friendly.
Note: Astra curd is made from all natural cows milk without adding milk powder, hence cannot expect a very thick curd.
